OTHER ITALY DESTINATIONS

Capri

The Sorrento peninsula lies the isle of Capri, one of the most fascinating places in the Province of Naples and the whole of Italy. Divided into two districts of Capri and Anacapri and with the quaint villages of Marina Grande, around the harbor and Marina Piccola, the isle has a prevalently mountainous landscape. The steep, jagged coastline is penetrated by fascinating grottoes - 65 of them, including the outstanding Blue Grotto - and flanked by enthralling rocks, above all the famous Faraglioni, now the symbol of Capri. Visited by intellectuals and artists from the nineteenth century onwards, Capri today is one of the favorite destinations for national and international tourism. The exceptional wealth of natural beauty, the stunning scenery and landscape explain Capri's unending allure and fame.

Ischia

The most beautiful and biggest island in the Gulf of Naples, Ischia is one of the most famous seasides of Italy and the world. Everything from the sea to the mountain - including its harbors, the small bays, its convenient beaches and ports, the high rock face along its coast, the vegetation, the variety of the plant life, the pine trees and the myriads of multi-colored flowers - make Ischia one of the most beautiful islands of one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Lake Como

Thanks to its enchanting blue waters and green hills, the pleasant mountain paths and the wonderful cuisine, from Como, the capital town, to the villages dotting the shores of the lake, the Como territory is ideal for a peaceful holiday, made all the more pleasant by a time-honored tradition of hospitality.

Time seems to have come to a standstill on the enchanting shores of Lake Como, where one finds famous country houses like Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, one of the most exclusive hotels in the world, which stands in wonderful gardens of camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas. Nearby, within easy reach from Como or Lugano, lies the fashionable resort of Campione d’Italia, with its casino, night clubs, slot-machines and gaming tables.

Whether you tour it by car or on foot, by motorcycle or bicycle, the Como territory offers endless opportunities. Touring the lake is made easy by the Navigation Service, which offers traditional "Belle Epoque" wheel-boats, modern comfortable motor-ships and super fast hydrofoils.
