Hard to believe we’ve been at this for 32 years!!! The origins of Wimco (the West Indies Management Company) as a villa rental specialist date back to 1975 when Brook and Roger Lacour set-up Sibarth, the first villa rental agency in St Barts. Shortly thereafter they set-up Wimco as the US-based marketing, reservations and finance arm of the company.

The island of St Barts is now well known world-wide as a chic but understated island, blessed with beautiful quiet beaches, and free of the clutter of cruise ships and massive resorts. Wimco and Sibarth continue to be the leaders in the villa rental market there, representing roughly 250 private villas, many of them on an exclusive basis, while also taking reservations for St Barts top hotels.

Spanning the Caribbean

In the early ‘80’s Wimco branched out from St Barts, representing villas across the water in St Martin. Nearby Anguilla followed, then the US Virgin Islands, and British Virgin Islands, then Barbados and Mustique. More recently we added villas in the Turks & Caicos and Grand Cayman. We also represent a collection of distinctive hotels in the Caribbean.

Representing the best of Europe too

WIMCO added select private luxury villas in Europe to its portfolio starting in 1988 and now represents hundreds of private luxury villas in France (St Tropez, Provence, Cote D’Azur), Italy (Tuscany, Umbria), and Greece. We also represent a collection of distinctive hotels in Europe.
